Who was involved?
Joseph Stalin was the number one person involved in the Genocide in Soviet Ukraine. He headed and planned everything that had taken place during the famine he caused his people. The Bolshevik party were his main supporters during his reign. They were all communists who helped Stalin to produce food for the states. Nearly one and three children died due to collectivization and the famine. The Soviet regime dumped 1.7 million tons of grain on the western markets at the height of the famine. It exported nearly a quarter of a ton of grain for every Ukrainian that starved. The boarders of Ukraine were strictly patrolled by the military so that Ukrainians couldn't cross the boarder to search for bread.
